Habitat hires fundraiser

Angela Hunter has been named director of development for Henderson County Habitat for Humanity.
Hunter's role will be to develop a comprehensive private philanthropy program at Habitat and to oversee the program's execution. In particular, Hunter will be working with individuals, businesses and foundations who are interested in partnering with the local affiliate and in financially supporting the mission of Habitat.
Hunter brings to Habitat seven years of experience in fundraising at the American Cancer Society and Southface Energy Institute in Atlanta and more recently at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in Asheville.
"We are thrilled to welcome Angie into the Habitat family," said Ron Laughter, Executive Director of the local Habitat affiliate. "She brings the knowledge, experience, and passion for our mission that will help us expand our programs and services, which are designed to eliminate sub-standard housing in the county and to ensure that affordable housing is available to everyone."
