Quick response nets felony arrests

Quick responses by deputies resulted in the felony arrest of two suspects in break-ins and attempted thefts in separate incidents over the weekend.

Deputies who responded at 2:45 a.m. Sunday to an alarm at Accurate Glass and Mirror Inc. noticed broken glass and an unsecured front door. During a search of the business and perimeter deputies, saw that a work van belonging to the business had been broken into also and evidence it was attempting to be stolen.

Josh CarrJosh CarrThe deputies found footprints leading away from the business. About 150 yards away they found a white male laying in a small creek. Arrested without incident was Josh Carr, 29, of Charlotte. He was charged with one count of felonious breaking and entering, one count of felonious larceny after breaking and entering and one count of felonious breaking and entering Into a motor vehicle. Carr was released on a $22,000 secured bond.

At approximately 12:04 a.m. Monday, officers responded to Brookside Camp Road after a homeowner called 911 to report someone attempting to break in to their truck. Joshua EllisJoshua EllisOfficers quickly responded and found 25-year-old Joshua Hugh Ellis of 126 Southbrook Road, Hendersonville, still in the vehicle. Ellis was arrested and charged with one count of felonious breaking and entering Into a motor vehicle. He remains in custody at the Henderson County Detention facility under a $6000 secured bond.
