Arctic blast arrives Thursday

Old Man Winter hasn't forgotten us.

Wind gusts as high as 36 mph on Thursday will make temperatures feel colder than the high of 36 as an Arctic cold front blows into the southern mountains. The temperature will fall to 17 degrees overnight Thursay. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high in the mid 30s again. Although the high will climb to 44 on Saturday, the low Saturday night will plunge again to 13 degrees and the high on Sunday will climb to only 27.
Forecasters called for a bit of a warmup on Monday — 37 degrees.

The saving grace is it will be sunny throughout Arctic blast.

Things could get worse early next week, though, with a chance of freezing rain and sleet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
