Carburetors reuniting for benefit concert

FLAT ROCK — The Carburetors, the popular rockabilly band, will reunite for two benefit concerts on Sunday, March 8, at Flat Rock Cinema.


Kicking off the 2015 Magnolia Concert Series, the Carburetors were scheduled to play one show, on Sunday afternoon.
"We decided to add a 7:30 evening show because tickets for the 3:00 show were selling really fast even before we went wide with promoting it," said Mark Warwick, the WTZQ general manager and guitar player and singer. "It's going to be a blast and we're really looking forward to playing for our hometown family and friends again, especially in the unique setting of Flat Rock Cinema."
The Carburetors is made up of Warwick, Jay Goree on acoustic guitar, Billy Munoz on drums and Damien Duke Domingue on bass.
The live concerts, produced by Howard Molton and his son, Brice, are at 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month March through November. Other acts in the concert series are: April 12, Underhill Rose; May 10, Dana and Susan Robinson; June 14, Wayne Henderson and Helen White; July 12, Eric Brace and Peter Cooper; Aug. 9, Hiroya Tsukamoto; Sept. 13, Matt King; Oct. 11, The Jazz Drovers featuring Jason DiCritofaro; Nov. 8, Sixth Annual Warmth of Home Benefit Concert with Tom Fisch and Terry Wetton.
