Two arrested in Dana fight

DANA — Based on leads from Henderson County sheriff's deputies and SBI agents, South Carolina law officers on Monday arrested a suspect and charged him with shooting another man in a fight early Friday in Dana.

Charged was Dustin Earl Jones, 32, of 1366 Dana Road in Hendersonville. Jones is currently charged with one felony count of Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, and one felony count of Discharging a Weapon Into an Occupied Property. Deputies from the Pickens County South Carolina Sheriff’s Office arrested Jones in Easley, S.C. He is jailed at the Pickens County South Carolina Detention Center pending extradition back to North Carolina. Jones also had an outstanding order for arrest, issued in 2014 for a felony probation violation.
 
Also in connection with the March 6 fight in Dana,  deputies charged Jesse Charles Jones, 23, of Guice Road in Hendersonville, with assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury for alleging striking one of the victims in the face with a baseball bat. Jones was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond. The investigation continues and more charges are possible.
