Pardee's wound care center honored again

Pardee Hospital's Comprehensive Wound Center received the Center of Distinction Award for a fourth consecutive year, the hospital said Thursday.
The award is presented by Healogics Inc., the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services.

Pardee's Comprehensive Wound Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of more than 92 percent, a minimum 91 percent wound healing rate within 30 median days to heal, and other quality outcomes. The Wound Center was one of only 172 centers to receive the honor. The center also received the Robert A. Warriner Center of Excellence Award, which recognizes centers that have received the Center of Distinction Award for three consecutive years — in Pardee's case 2012, 2013 and 2014.
"This award is a great honor and is attributed to the outstanding clinical care that patients receive," Anne Sweeney, director of the Comprehensive Wound Center, said in a news release. "The physicians and nurses here at the Wound Center are extremely compassionate and very knowledge. I frequently receive positive feedback from patients that otherwise might have never healed or in some cases, lost a limb. It is very rewarding to work with such a great group of people."
The Comprehensive Wound Center at Pardee offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
Headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., Healogics manages more than 550 Wound Care Centers in the nation and sees nearly 200,000 patients per year through a connected network of centers, partner hospitals, academic medical centers, patients and families.
