Join Young Democrats, get a beer

The Young Democrats of Henderson and Transylvania counties will hold an Open House at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Southern Appalachian Brewery for those interested in joining the group.

"It's time we shake up these counties and let them know that Democrats of all ages are alive and well," Ari Sen, one of the group's founders, said in a news release.
Young Democrats and representatives from the Henderson County Democratic Party will be on hand at the brewery to answer questions and explain more about the new group. Guests will receive a food voucher from Farm to Fender food truck and one beer or nonalcoholic beverage apiece. Live bluegrass music by Nitrograss starts at 7 p.m.
