Six get active time after convictions

Six convicted felons received active prison sentences during the Henderson County Superior Court trial term of March 16-27.

Those were:

  • Todd Stimson was convicted by a jury of trafficking in marijuana and sentenced to an active prison term of 39 months and a $5,000 fine.
  • Angela Sheehan was convicted for illegally possessing schedule I narcotics and sentenced as an habitual felon an active prison term of 36 months.
  • John McCharge was convicted of breaking and entering and larceny and sentenced to an active prison term of 30 months.
  • Anita Brackett was convicted of attempting to obtain property by a false pretense and sentenced to prison for 29 months.
  • Joshua Ellis was convicted of first degree burglary, breaking and entering of motor vehicles and sentenced to prison for 102 months.
  • Tracy Green was convicted of possessing a schedule 2 controlled substance and sentenced to 14 months in prison.


In other cases the judge accepted guilty pleas and ordered probationary sentences. Judge Mark Powell was the presiding judge for the term.
