How are we doing? Thrift store asks

The Blue Ridge Humane Society Thrift Store is holding a focus group to get community feedback on the store’s practices and services.

The focus group will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, in the Conference Room of the Blue Ridge Humane Society Thrift Store and facilitated by Ruth Birge, former publisher of the Times-News and most recently retired executive director of United Way. The focus group is free and open to the public.

All are welcome. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling 692-3503 by Friday, April 10, leaving a name and phone number so the store will know how many will be in the focus group.
Everyone who attends will receive a thrift store gift card.
Participants will be asked their opinions on store practices, policies and services. The participants will be encouraged to offer honest assessments of what the BRHS Thrift Store is doing right and what can be improved. Participants’ opinions and suggestions will be anonymous.
“The information we gain from this focus group will assist us in becoming an even better retail thrift store,” said BRHS Thrift Store Retail Director Terri Thompson. “We can speculate on what our customers want that we aren’t currently providing, but why not just ask them?”
