New bears debut May 8
The Bearfootin' bears of 2013 await auction in October.
The 13th annual Bearfootin' Public Art Walkwill take place on May 8 with the Bear Reveal of this year's painted Main Street mascots.
This year's band of bears has been residing with the artists who transform the bears from a blank slate that arrive in late January to the artful additions to our downtown that brighten up the district throughout the summer.
The Bear Reveal is scheduled for May 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event takes place on the First Citizens Bank plaza at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Main Street in downtown.
The Reveal includes Bear introductions and stories about their creation from our sponsors and artists along with live entertainment from the Bill Berg Quartet. Music begins at 4:30 pm with the Reveal scheduled at 5:30 pm in the First Citizens Bank Plaza at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Main Street next to the mountain fountain.
