Community to honor veterans Friday, Monday

The Henderson County Heritage Museum in conjunction with the Veterans Service Office will honor all Henderson County veterans past and present at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans Hall at the Veterans Service Office in the Henderson County Human Services Building on Spartanburg Highway.

The Henderson County Honor Guard will post colors and the Patriot Guard motorcycle group will attend. Former Army Chaplain George A. Jones will deliver the opening prayer. Guest speaker will be retired Gen. Frank Blazey. The American Legion Auxiliary unit 77 Ladies Auxiliary to Hedrick-Rhodes Post 5206 will provide refreshments.
The Henderson County Memorial Day Service is at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn on Tracy Grove Road.
