Blue Ridge clinic hires fundraising director

Blue Ridge Community Health Services has named Kathryn McConnell director of philanthropy.

Most recently vice president for community philanthropy for the Community Foundation of Henderson County, McConnell brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role. As director of philanthropy, McConnell will be responsible for leading all fundraising efforts and promoting BRCHS in the community.

“I am thrilled to be to be a part of such a dynamic and growing organization,” she said in a news release. “Through my work in the community I have witnessed first-hand the important work done by Blue Ridge to help the most vulnerable among us. I look forward to helping continue to make a difference in any way that I can.”

“This is an exciting time in the history of Blue Ridge Community Health Services,” said Blue Ridge CEO Jennifer Henderson. “Having Kathryn join the Blue Ridge Health team feels like a natural fit. She has always been one of our strongest advocates and we are honored she will be working with us to help the underserved in Western North Carolina.”

BRCHS is a non-profit community health center that has been providing high quality and affordable medical, dental and mental health care as well as promoting health awareness/education for over 50 years.
