WEEKEND TIPOFF: Music — on Main, in the forest, by the lake

Jazz duo Elise Pratt and Mike Holstein will perform Sunday at Music by the Lake at BRCC.

Here are the weekend highlights:

Friday, 7 p.m.: Music on Main features WestSound. Visitors Center. Free.

Ballad singer and storyteller Bobby McMillon performs at the Songcatchers Music Series at the Cradle of Forestry in America at 4 p.m. Sunday. The concert takes place in the covered outdoor amphitheater and moves indoors if the weather is stormy. Admission is $6 for ages 16 and older and $3 for youth 15 and under.

Music by the Lake at Blue Ridge Community College presents A Jazz Duo at 5 p.m. Sunday featuring singer Elise Pratt and bassist/composer/guitarist Mike Holstein. In bad weather the show moves to the Thomas Auditorium. Free.

Monday, 7 p.m., Street Dance features Walt Puckett as caller, Bobby & Blue Ridge Tradition and Southern Connection Cloggers. Visitors Center. Free.
