Investigators obtained a felony warrant for attempting to obtain property by false pretenses on Teddy Edward Lee Jr. of 14 Sixth Street, Asheville, NC. He is suspected in multiple reported paving scams in Henderson and Buncombe counties. Lee is alleged to have defrauded homeowners by promising to pave their driveway and then instead of paving them spraying an asphalt sealer on the driveway. The warrant charges that he collected a check for $3,000 for one job, 10 times the amount the work should have cost.

The sheriff's department urged anyone that may have had contact with Lee or know his whereabouts to call the Sheriff’s Office at 828-697-4911.
