Historic Johnson Farm gets Blue Ridge Heritage sign

A new Blue Ridge National Heritage Area sign was installed today at Historic Johnson Farm.

Along with the sign, the farm has a dedicated page on Blue Ridge National Heritage Area website www.blueridgeheritage.com. Interactive kiosks at five surrounding visitors centers will help to promote all 69 Blue Ridge National Heritage Area sites.

Historic Johnson Farm thanked Mary Garrison, Kohlan Flynn, Ingrid McNair and other Johnson Farm volunteers who helped to coordinate the project over the past eight years.

More signs are going up Tuesday. In Buncombe County new Blue Ridge Heritage Trailwill be installed at the North Carolina Arboretum, Biltmore Estate, Thomas Wolfe Memorial and in Pack Square Park, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported, and on Wednesday a fifth sign will be installed at the Black Mountain Visitor Center.
