League hosts candidate meet and greet

The League of Women Voters of Henderson County will host a candidate meet-and-greet on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the City Operations Building.All candidates for municipal elections have been invited to give an initial statement and then meet with voters to discuss issues and concerns on an informal, one-to-one basis. Opposed and unopposed candidates have been invited. There are only two contested municipal elections in Henderson County. Bob Spitzen is challenging Flat Rock Mayor Bob Staton and Steve Caraker, Ron Stephens and Rebecca Schwartz are running for two seats on the Hendersonville City Council.
