John McCutcheon to perform at Trinity

John McCutcheon will perform at Trinity Presbyterian.

John McCutcheon will perform at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville on Nov. 6 for the Project We Care organization.

Wisconsin-bred and Georgia-based, McCutcheon is folk music’s Renaissance man — master instrumentalist, powerful singer-songwriter, storyteller, activist, and author.
As an instrumentalist, he is a master of a dozen different traditional instruments. His songwriting has been hailed by critics and singers around the globe. His 30-plus recordings have garnered every imaginable honor including seven Grammy nominations. McCutcheon’s commitment to grassroots political organizations has put him on the front lines of many of the issues important to communities and workers. This year on May 1, the day recognized as Labor Day in most countries outside of the United States, he released “Joe Hill’s Last Will” which pays homage to the songs of the late Swedish American musician and labor organizer who was put to death 100 years ago.
