The United Way of Henderson County has announced the hiring of Sarah Grymes as director of resource development.

A Henderson County native, Grymes has spent the past several years working as a banker with Mountain 1st Bank and Trust and the Bank of North Carolina. She has also been involved in local nonprofit and service agencies that benefit directly from the United Way. Most recently she has served on the boards of the Park Ridge Hospital Foundation, Housing Assistance Corporation and Smart Start. She also serves on the board of the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Hendersonville. She started her new job Monday.
“Sarah brings a passion for improving the lives of the residents of Henderson County and a deep appreciation for how United Way impacts our community for the better,” United Way Executive Director Denise Cumbee Long said. “Her business development experience will also be valuable as we build relationships with key community partners.”
