Henderson County public schools are asking for parent, student and staff input on scheduling an additional make-up day for the traditional calendar due to the six days of school students missed this year because of inclement weather.
The school district operates three different calendars: the Traditional Calendar, the Flex Calendar and the Early College Calendar. Make-up days have been finalized for the Flex and Early College calendars, and the revised calendars can be found on the HCPS website.
Administrators need to determine one additional make-up day for the Traditional Calendar. To take the survey, click here. The survey will be available through Friday, Feb. 26.
The survey asks respondents to choose between a half-day of school (dismissing at noon) On Memorial Day, May 30, or a half day on Saturday, June 4. It also asks, in the event there are more days missed, for a choice between school on Saturdays or taking days from spring break.
