Andrew Riddle named to '40 Under 40' in construction business

Andrew Riddle describes a construction project at a city Planning Board meeting in December 2015.

Andrew Riddle, the vice president of family owned Riddle Construction Co., has been named to a list of “40 Under 40” construction industry leaders by Professional Builder magazine.

More than 150 young leaders were nominated. A panel of editors selected the winners based on their personal and professional accomplishments.
A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in construction management, Riddle worked as an engineer for the construction of the Carolina Hurricanes hockey arena in Raleigh, an experience that taught him about “the big leagues.” During the recession, Riddle Construction lost 17 employees “and most of our savings” but emerged stronger, he told the magazine. After graduating from college, Riddle and four college buddies built a raft and floated down the Mississippi to raise money for Boys & Girls Club scholarships.
Riddle, 39, has helped his company carve a niche in “Aging in Place” renovation for older homeowners. To read Riddle’s profile visit the ProBuilder website.
