Deputies seek S.C. man in Saluda shooting

SALUDA — Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public's help locating a 30-year-old Easley, S.C., man accused of shooting another man with a .40-caliber handgun last Thursday in Saluda.

Deputies responding to a call in Saluda about a reported gunshot wound found a victim. He was transported to Pardee Hospital where he remained overnight before being released. The victim was identified in an arrest warrant as Patrick Maybin.

Detectives identified the suspect as Jonathan Wayne Ledbetter and swore out a felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and a misdemeanor warrant for assault by pointing a gun. The Henderson County Sheriff’s office is requesting the public's assistance in locating Ledbetter. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s office at 828-697-4911.
