City sets sessions on bike plans

The City of Hendersonville is holding three interactive and informational sessions next week on the development of the city’s Comprehensive Bicycle Plan to help determine the future of bicycling in and around the city.

Three public sessions have been scheduled:
• Monday, May 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. – An interactive workshop where attendees may drop in any time to talk with the project team, learn more about the bike plan, and participate in interactive activities. Land Development Building, 100 N. King St., 1st Floor Conference Room.
• Tuesday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – A planning session where attendees may drop in any time and help the project team plan and map recommendation to improve bicycling on Hendersonville’s streets. City Operations Center, 305 Williams St.
• Tuesday, May 17, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – A closing presentation where attendees will learn about the preliminary bicycle network plan based on the input from previous session. City Operations Center.
