Pisgah Drive man sentenced for kidnapping

A Hendersonville man was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison after pleading guilty to second degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of stolen goods, District Attorney Greg Newman announced.

Sentenced on the charges was Woodrow Massey, of 2126 Pisgah Drive. His was one of numerous felony cases tried in a Superior Court term in Henderson County and Transylvania County. Judge Mark E. Powell presided in both sessions.

In other cases:

— Shaquil Mitter, of 638 Barker Street, Hendersonville, pled guilty to common Law Robbery and Breaking and Entering. Mitter was sentenced to two years and two months in prison.

— Daniel Alfaro, of 869 Jackson Loop Road, Flat Rock, pled guilty to Felony Flee to Elude Arrest and was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

— Dustin Jones, of 1366 Dana Road, Hendersonville, pled guilty to Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of Methamphetamine. Jones was sentenced to 33 months in prison.

— Timothy Harries, of 4 McLaughlin Hill Drive, Fletcher, pled guilty to Fail to Report New Address as a Sex Offender and was sentenced to 41 months in prison.

— Amber Castillo, of 618 Glover Street, Hendersonville, pled guilty to two counts of Common Law Forgery and received 45 days confinement.


Transylvania County

— Mark Hughes, of 50 Stamey Creek Road, Brevard, pled guilty to three counts of Felony Break or Enter Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 56 months in prison.

— Joshua Flood, of 18 Emmas Path, Pisgah Forest, pled guilty to Assault on a Female and was sentenced to 90 days confinement.

— Derrick Whitesides, of 101 Keith Court, Brevard, pled guilty to Domestic Criminal Trespass and was sentenced to 60 days confinement.

— Torrin Slover, of 27 Keith Court, Brevard, pled guilty to Obstructing Justice and was sentenced to 10 days confinement.
