Buddy Holly tribute opens Thursday downtown

Flat Rock Playhouse favorites Jeremy Sevelovitz and Christopher Fordinal, fresh from their acclaimed run of Million Dollar Quartet, perform the hits of Buddy Holly in the new Music on the Rock show opening Thursday and running through Aug. 21 at the Playhouse Downtown.
The Music of Buddy Holly showcases the big hits of the rock’n’roll legend and pioneer including “Everyday,” “Peggy Sue,” “True Love Ways” and more. The house band backing Sevelovitz and Fordinal is made up of Daniel Iannucci on bass and Paul Babelay on drums. Alex Shields is music director.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $28 and can be purchased by calling the Playhouse box office at 828-693-0731, toll-free at 866-732-8008 or online at www.flatrockplayhouse.org.
