Fletcher man charged in $1.6 million bank fraud

A federal grand jury in Asheville returned a criminal bill of indictment Tuesday against charging a 52-year-old Asheville attorney with multiple counts of bank fraud and making false statements to a bank, Jill Westmoreland Rose, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, announced.
