ECO, the Environmental and Conservation Organization continues its 25th anniversary celebration with a special annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 27, at beautiful Hickory Nut Forest's Laughing Waters Community Center in Gerton.
To celebrate 25 years as the "go to" environmental organization in the region, ECO will feature singer/songwriter Aaron Coffin performing his music as well as the green goddesses of Henderson County, the Atomic Sisterhood starting at 2 p.m. The event will also feature a hike in the woods at 1 pm, tasty local treats and apple cider and the unveiling of ECO's Wall of Remembrance, an exhibition that documents ECO's history and its growth as an environmental trailblazer.
Other events at the ECO annual meeting will include the premiere of a short film produced by local filmmaker Mac Brackett and a panel discussion of ECO old-timers and founders.
