Playhouse announces acts and auction items for benefit

Vagabonds through the years will celebrate past hits in an evening that includes some of the craziest and most talented people in show biz. Admission to the show and benefit auction is a minimum donation of $25. It's at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The "Save the Playhouse" Facebook page has been getting a lot of responses from web users announcing that they plan to attend. "In our final stages of planning this wonderful event," Playhouse production manager wrote on Sunday night. "Looking forward to see everyone gather to share their talent and support!"

Here is the news release from the Flat Rock Playhouse about the "For the Rock" benefit at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11:

A fantastic mixture of Vagabonds old and new takes the stage in this rip-roaring benefit concert "For the Rock!" You'll be bouncing in your seat from laughter or the beat of a song that's got some heat on it. We've got Scott Treadway, Paige Posey, Ralph Redpath, Neela & Billy Munoz, Lauren Mayes Hopkins, Renee Heffel, Lisa Kanoy Bryant, Erin Mosher, Wendy Hayes, Andrew Livingston, Katie Mooney and many more! They'll fill your heart and rock your world as they live up to the Vagabond motto: "I will work hard, play harder and nap wisely." Don't you dare miss this event! Oh, and bring some money, cause it's a fun-raiser!

The generosity of many merchants and individual supporters has contributed to a live auction and raffle with prizes that offer many unique experiences for the winning bid. Including:
· A photo session with Scott Treadway (Treadshots.com) with a certificate to get your hair done before you sit for the photo.
