Miller's Dry Cleaning closing after 107 years

Miller’s Fine Dry Cleaning, a local mainstay for over 107 years, will officially cease operations on King Street on Saturday, Aug. 20, the company announced.

The Miller’s location on Brevard Road in Laurel Park will continue to operate as a coin laundry operation only.

“It was a tough decision to make after serving Hendersonville and neighboring communities for so many generations, but the effects of Covid, lack of workforce, continuing supply cost increases and the expense of mandatory hardware and software updates has left us no choice,” said Jeff Miller, owner and grandson of the original founder, N.W Miller.

“We have had an incredible run and our customers and this community are like family to us," he said. "We are eternally grateful for the support of Henderson County through the years. We hope we have done our share to make Henderson County a better place.”

Miller's Linen Service is not affected by the closure and will continue to operate as usual. Miller's Fine Dry Cleaning will continue to accept garments and household items for processing through Saturday, Aug. 20. Beginning Aug. 22, for a period of at least 30 days, they will only return processed items to customers, but not accept new items. Miller’s Fine Dry Cleaning will be available to answer any questions or concerns by phone, at (828) 693-7426, or at www.millerscleaners.com.
