New restaurant opens in old Pro's space

A Brevard restaurant owner has opened Mike's Pizza and Pasta in the old Pro's Italian Dining location at 803 Spartanburg Highway.

Mike Kurimsky, who owns Big Mike's on Gaston Street in downtown Brevard, reopened the restaurant where Pro's had operated for decades.

Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, the restaurant serves wings, appetizers, salads, hot and cold subs, burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna, chicken parmesan, baked ziti, baked sausage manicotti, calzones and Stromboli. It offers 21 pizza toppings on three pizza sizes. Specialty pizzas are Hawaiian, Supreme, Meat Lovers, Veggie Lovers and White. Kurimsky has also reopened the adjoining bar, renamed the Eastside Pub, run by his son, also named Mike.
