County sets public input meetings for 2045 comp plan

The Henderson County Planning Department will hold open house public input meetings as the planners develop a new 2045 comprehensive plan, which guides growth through zoning, the providing of utilities, transportation priorities and other policies.

The meetings will all contain the same public input activities and can be joined at any point within the specified time range. Staff will be available to facilitate dialogue and answer questions, but the events are styled so you can go through the activities independently and at your own pace. Kids are welcome to attend. The meetings are 4-6 p.m. at each location. Here is the schedule:

  • Oct. 6, Thomas Auditorium at Blue Ridge Community College
  • Oct. 12, Hendersonville Main Library
  • Oct. 18, Edneyville Community Center
  • Oct. 26, Community Center at Crab Creek
  • Nov. 2, Fletcher Library
  • Nov. 3, Grace Mills River Church
  • Nov. 9, Etowah Library

County planners, the Planning Board and county commissioners are also encouraging the public to fill out the comp plan 2045 survey here.
