"Mamma Mia!" and "West Side Story" will highlight the season when the Flat Rock Playhouse returns to a full production schedule in 2022 after a two-year hiatus.
Coming to the Main Stage besides the two showcase musicals are the popular "Million Dollar Quartet" plus a slate of new shows, the Music on the Rock concert series and the debut of an all new theatrical experience called The Black Box Series, the Playhouse announced Monday.
The full season will be announced on Jan. 10, when season tickets go on sale. Music on the Rock single tickets go on sale Jan. 24, and single tickets for all remaining shows go on sale Feb. 14.
"We’ve worked hard to deliver on titles folks were excited about in our 2020 season prior to the shutdown," Producing Artistic Director Lisa K. Bryant said. "But we’re equally thrilled for the new pieces we’re offering that we hope and believe will inspire and engage, as well as entertain. It’s a special season and we hope to see all of our patrons, and new ones too, in person back on the Rock just as soon as they can get here.”
