A new web-based produce company is now available to people across WNC.

Cassie Cosgrove, with the help of local farmers, producers, makers and brick and mortar shops, provides access to locally-made products for Henderson County and beyond.

AVLBox1AVL Box delivers fresh produce boxes, specialty foods, home products and local beer and wine.Called AVL Box, the company delivers and offers pickup for fresh produce boxes, specialty foods, home products and local beer and wine. Customers are able to build their own boxes and orders or select a pre-arranged box. Items on the website include descriptions about each. Additionally, customers can purchase gift boxes for friends and family.

Not only are homes across WNC able to enjoy fresh, local, and organic products, the small farms and businesses which curate them also experience much-needed relief during the pandemic.

Existing partners include Sleight Family Farm, a local family-run farm, and Mighty Gnome Market Garden, which provides fresh vegetables and herbs to their community.

“Each week, we are including more and more local partners,” Cosgrove said. “We deliver around the Asheville area and offer free pickup at locations around WNC, such as in Brevard, Black Mountain and Waynesville. Our pickup location in Hendersonville is at Independent Roasters on Seventh Avenue, and we also have two pickup locations in Asheville.”

The process to order online is simple and user friendly. The steps to place an order, along with further information about the company, are described on The AVL Box website, at theavlbox.com/.
