VoteVets, a national organization that promotes military veterans running for office and advocates for veterans’ issues, announced its endorsement of Josh Remillard for the N.C. House District 117 seat.

While VoteVets mainly focuses on federal races, a small number of state and local candidates are chosen each cycle for endorsement in this special program which brings national spotlight to up-and-coming candidates.

“To have the support of VoteVets is something I’m extremely proud of.” Remillard said in  statement. “I spent eight years in the United States Army defending our country, and to now be recognized as a candidate who will stand up for other veterans and the issues that affect them and their families is extremely humbling.”

Founded in 2006, VoteVets is backed by over 700,000 supporters. For more information visit VoteVets.org or JoshRemillard.com.
