PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Henderson County Agricultural Advisory Board and the Town of Mills River Agricultural Advisory Committee will jointly hold a Public Hearing pursuant to the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. §106-740 (as revised in S.L. 2025-12) at the Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive, Mills River, North Carolina, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The purpose of the hearing will be to allow fact finding and recommendations by the Board and Committee regarding the proposed rezoning of lands inside Voluntary Agricultural Districts within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Mills River. The public is invited to attend and offer comment. Affected parcels can be viewed by applying visibility of the Agricultural Districts layer to the Henderson County GIS map at https://gisweb.hendersoncountync.gov/gisweb. Written comments addressed to the Henderson County Agricultural Advisory Board, 61 Triple Springs Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792, will be accepted prior to the hearing. Detailed information on the proposed rezonings is available for review by contacting the Town of Mills River. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Board and the Committee will make findings and recommendations to be forwarded to the Town Council of Mills River.
