The Henderson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing in regards to naming one un-named rights-of-way (ROW) off Dana Rd. The hearing has been scheduled for May 04, 2026, at 5:30 PM at 1 Historic Courthouse Square, Hendersonville, NC 28792 in the Board of Commissioners meeting room. The proposed naming will be available for public inspection from now until May 04, 2026, in the Planning Department located at 100 N. King Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792. If you have further questions regarding these changes, you may contact the Planning Department Office at 828-697-4819.

Please note that after considering public hearing comment, the Board of Commissioners may discuss other options or modify the proposed naming before taking final action.

ADVERTISEMENT OF TAX LIENS ON REAL PROPERTY FOR THE YEAR 2025

Under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Tax Collector by § 105-369 of the North Carolina General Statutes, and pursuant to an Order by the Mills River Town Council, the Tax Collector is hereby advertising liens for the year 2025 on the real estate described below. The amount advertised will be increased by interest and advertisement costs, and the omission of interest and advertisement costs from the amount advertised will not constitute a waiver of the taxing unit’s claim for those items.

North Carolina General Statute § 105-369 requires that tax liens be advertised in the name of the owner as of the date of delinquency. The date of delinquency for the 2025 tax year was January 6, 2026.

IF THESE TAXES REMAIN UNPAID, THE TOWN OF MILLS RIVER MAY FORECLOSE AND SELL THE PROPERTY TO SATISFY ALL CLAIMS OF UNPAID TAXES.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Henderson County Agricultural Advisory Board and the Town of Mills River Agricultural Advisory Committee will jointly hold a Public Hearing pursuant to the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. §106-740 (as revised in S.L. 2025-12) at the Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive, Mills River, North Carolina, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The purpose of the hearing will be to allow fact finding and recommendations by the Board and Committee regarding the proposed rezoning of lands inside Voluntary Agricultural Districts within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Mills River. The public is invited to attend and offer comment. Affected parcels can be viewed by applying visibility of the Agricultural Districts layer to the Henderson County GIS map at https://gisweb.hendersoncountync.gov/gisweb. Written comments addressed to the Henderson County Agricultural Advisory Board, 61 Triple Springs Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792, will be accepted prior to the hearing. Detailed information on the proposed rezonings is available for review by contacting the Town of Mills River.
