Hunger Walk sets goal of $100,000 (2)

The 40th annual Henderson County Hunger Coalition Hunger Walk will be held in Jackson Park on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The goal is to raise $100,000 to be distributed to the various food pantries, which receive funds by means of an application. Providers include Blue Ridge Health, Calvary Episcopal Food Pantry, Council on Aging, Edneyville Community Food Pantry, Fishes and Loaves, the Hendersonville Rescue Mission, Interfaith Assistance Ministry, Safelight, the Salvation Army, the Storehouse and SVDPS of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. No donation is too small or too large and donations can be made when you come to the walk, create your our walking team or by visiting the Henderson County Hunger Coalition website, hendersoncountyhungercoalition.org

The need is greater this year than ever before so please share in the fun of the walk and the reward of giving to help feed those who are food insecure.
