Symphony wins grant from Community Foundation

The Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra will improve its computer system thanks to a grant of $8,000 from the Community Foundation of Henderson County

Symphony president Donna Hastie said the grant will be used for a new software system to improve the symphony's ability to process critical information in an efficient manner. Many of these functions are currently done manually to obtain the needed information.
"The grant from the Community Foundation of Henderson County will give us additional resources to build HSO's capacity," Hastie said. "It will enable staff and volunteers to expedite all operational processes, create a coherent integrated system of database and web information, and maximize staff and volunteer time.

"More importantly, the new software will allow staff and board to dedicate their energies to provide financial stability to fulfill the HSO mission," Hastie said.
