Treadway stars in Little League comedy

Popular Flat Rock actor Scott Treadway will star in the comedy "Rounding Third" at North Carolina Stage Company in Asheville Jan. 29-Feb. 23.

Angie Flynn-McIver directs Treadway and Charlie Flynn-McIver in Richard Dresser's comedy about two men who meet on a baseball field for the first time to coach their sons' Little League team.
Don (Flynn-McIver) is a beer-drinking house painter whose mantra is "winning is everything," while Michael (Treadway) is a latte-sipping corporate type who stumbled into coaching and believes in "doing the best you can."
Scott TreadwayThe pair inevitably ends up clashing as they work together to coach the team, leaving the audience to guess how the two disparate volunteer coaches can come together for a winning Little League season?
Founded by Charlie and Angie Flynn-McIver, North Carolina Stage Company has been voted best local theatre eight out of the past nine years in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC Poll. The poll named costars and longtime comic partners Treadway and Flynn-McIver favorite actors.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14 to $40. Student tickets are $10. Jan. 29 is "pay what you can" night. North Carolina Stage Company is at 15 Stage Lane in downtown Asheville.
