The Gallery at Flat Rock is celebrating the launch of “Blue Mountain Poems” by Tim Jones with a Social Distancing Book Signing event at the gallery from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

An ordained minister, Jones is an avid nature photographer who also writes poems; “Blue Mountain Poems” is his first book. He is operations director at The Hendersonville Rescue Mission and a clergy member at St. James Episcopal Church, Hendersonville, and has exhibited his photography at A Gallery at Flat Rock.
“Blue Mountain Poems” is a collection of poems published by the newly established Gallery at Flat Rock Press, which aims to highlight quality writing from talented area authors.

“We were already in awe of Tim’s talents as a photographer, and now we’re proud to present this book of his beautifully written poems, as the inaugural publication from GFR Press,” says Suzanne Camarata, owner of The Gallery at Flat Rock.
The Saturday book signing event is designed to keep everyone safe and healthy through social distancing. Video footage of Tim reading his poetry will be released online prior to this event to give a flavor of his poems as well as the stories behind them.

This video includes an exclusive interview with Tim by Kevin Todd, in conversation about Tim’s new book.
Copies of “Blue Mountain Poems” will be available for purchase outside the gallery during the book launch event. Tim will be happy to sign books for each buyer. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided. The books are also available for purchase online or by telephone. Tim will sign book copies before they are shipped.
The Gallery at Flat Rock is located in Flat Rock Square at 2702-A Greenville Highway.
