HonorAir raising money for coats for veterans

Henderson County's HonorAir Committee and American Legion Post 77 have joined forces to raise money for coats for homeless veterans served by the Veterans Restoration Quarters of the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry.

A donation of $50 will sponsor a homeless veteran's Christmas. "Their needs are simple: coats, shoes, boots, hats and gloves. Any additional funds will be used to fund Operation Welcome Home," the HonorAir Committee said in a news release. "Please help us honor over 260 of our nation's less fortunate men and women veterans with a small gift during this Christmas season."
