The Henderson County school system reported to families on Friday that the county health department had confirmed Covid-19 clusters at two high schools.
The Department of Public Health reported to the school system that five staff and students at North Henderson High School have lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 that are epidemiologically linked, and five students at West Henderson High School have epidemiologically linked lab-confirmed cases. Each situation meets the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) definition of a “cluster,” the school system said.
"If you or your child has been identified as a close contact of an individual who tested positive, the school nurses from North Henderson High, West Henderson High, or other contact tracers with the Henderson County Department of Public Health will communicate with you directly," the school system said in notifying families. "Due to privacy requirements, we can not and will not disclose any personally identifiable health information."
