Snow is less of a threat than deep freeze plus wind

Although the area may get a coating of snow tonight the real weather challenge will be bitter cold on Saturday with a windchill factor below zero, the National Weather Service says.

Snow possibly mixed with rain is likely after 5 o'clock this evening. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent with little or no snow accumulation expected. Snow is more likely after 7 p.m. with a low around 14. On a blustery Saturday a high of 27 degrees along with a north northwest wind of 14 to 21 mph and gusts as high as 37 mph will make it feel like minus-2, the NWS said.
Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 15. Sunday will bring a bit of a warmup, with a high near 44 and lighter wind under sunny skies. Monday is better still, with a high near 50 under a sunny sky.
