Students can return to campus from 3-4:30 today; class resumes Friday

The school system will grant access to the North Henderson High School and Apple Valley Middle School campuses and facilities from 3 to 4:30 this afternoon so students and staff may collect personal items and vehicles left on campus during the bomb threat evacuation.

Both schools will operate on a regular schedule on Friday.

"We are extremely grateful to our North and Apple Valley school families for their patience, support, and cooperation with law enforcement and district administrators, as we all worked together to ensure the safety of our students and staff," spokeswoman Molly McGowan Gorsuch said in a news release. "We cannot begin to express the depth of our gratitude to the Sheriff’s Office and our School Resource Officers for the immediate and thorough response they provided our schools today."
