FLAT ROCK — The Flat Rock Village Council will hold a town hall meeting for the public from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, 1790 Greenville Highway.
This will be the first of two town hall meetings that the council plans to hold this year. While a variety of topics will be discussed, the focus of this meeting will be a conversation about the best use of the funds received by the Village through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
“We are still working on best practices as far as allocating funds for projects that the ARP enables us to undertake,” said Mayor Nick Weedman. “We want to hear from village residents on what areas they think will be important to support, and a town hall meeting is a good arena for that discussion.”
The meeting will follow a format of brief introductions by village officials and then an extended time for attendees to provide input and ask questions on topics that are important to them.
