Buncombe man arrested for soliciting child for sex in Henderson County

Deputies arrested a Buncombe County man Tuesday after he drove to Henderson County to meet a child under 14 he had allegedly online solicited for sex, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The arrest of Jeffrey Paul Radocha on the child solicitation and exploitation charge followed an online undercover investigation by detectives that allegedly showed Radocha was using a social media profile to solicit sexual acts from a child 14 years of age, the sheriff's office said.
During the course of the investigation, Radocha allegedly traveled to Henderson County to meet with the child. The investigation concluded with his arrest. He was jailed on a charge of solicitation of a child by a computer to commit an unlawful sex act.
Henderson County Sheriff Lowell Griffin commended the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators for working tirelessly to protect children from online predators.

"The Henderson County Sheriff's Office is committed to pursuing and bringing to justice individuals who exploit and victimize our children," he said. "We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to safeguard our community's most vulnerable population."
Griffin also reminded parents to monitor their children's online activity, educate them about online safety and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
