The Hendersonville Honeycrisps wrapped up their 2023 season as Old North State League Western Division Champions and lose in the semifinals of the league playoffs to a hot Clayton Clovers team.
The Honeycrisps finished the regular season with a 27-13 overall record and a 22-9 mark in the Old North State League, clinching back-to-back Western Division championships in only their second season of play. The Honeycrisps reeled off two eight-game winning streaks throughout the regular season and led the Western Division standings the entire season.
The Honeycrisps welcomed more than 7,100 fans to The Orchard this past summer and were proud to highlight 10 local non-profits during our 23 home dates. The club also welcomed local talent to the microphone each night to sing our national anthem, and were able to support Henderson County Little League, Fletcher Little League, and the Henderson County Educational Foundation. The highlight of the season was during our final home game when more than 20 WNC Special Needs Sports athletes took the field with the Honeycrisps for the atnional anthem.
The Honeycrisps players, coaches, crisp squad and front office thanked fans for their support throughout the season and assured the community that they're already making plans to make 2024 an even better summer at The Orchard, the historic stadium that was home to the legendary Berkeley Spinners industrial league club.
