City input sessions focus on green space, housing

The city of Hendersonville is offering interactive engagement opportunities over the next two weeks regarding the Gen H Comprehensive Plan and Parks & Greenspace Master Plan updates.

On Monday, Oct. 9, city council member Jerry Smith will host "A Healthy Dose of Gen H: The Place of Parks and Open Space," from 5:50 to 7 p.m. in Room 2003 of the Health Sciences Center, 805 Sixth Avenue West. The meeting will focus on parks and green space planning.

On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the city will host drop-in meetings on parks and greenspace 10 a.m.-noon and 4-7 p.m. in the second floor meeting room of City Hall,160 Sixth Avenue East.

Council member Jennifer Hensley will host a public input meeting on the housing component of the city's new comp plan from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the cafeteria at Hendersonville High School, 1 Bearcat Boulevard.
