“The damage from Hurricane Helene is significant, and our teams are working around the clock to restore essential services," County Manager John Mitchell said. "We ask that residents abide by the curfew to help keep everyone safe and allow recovery operations to proceed as quickly as possible.”

Details of the curfew:

  • Effective Date: The curfew is effective immediately and will remain in place until conditions improve.
  • Exemptions: Emergency personnel, essential workers, and individuals seeking emergency medical care are exempt from the curfew. Residents are asked to carry proper identification and documentation if traveling during curfew hours.
