Arts Council looking for new director

The Arts Council of Henderson County announced on Monday that Mel Ailiff has resigned as executive director and said it is looking for a new leader.

“We appreciate the time and efforts Mel has given to our organization and the arts community in Henderson County,” the nonprofit said. “Her leadership has played a role in advancing our mission. While we bid farewell to Mel, we are excited about the opportunity to welcome a new executive director who will bring fresh perspectives and care deeply about our organization and its mission.”

The Arts Council’s events coordinator, communications coordinator, bookkeeper and board members “are working diligently to maintain high standards of excellence,” the news release said. “Our capable team is fully committed to upholding our mission and supporting the vibrant arts culture in our region.”
