GRAND OPENING GUIDE: Speeches, ribbon snip, trail merch, treats and tastings

Here’s the schedule for the Ecusta Trail grand opening events:

• 2 p.m. Opening ceremony, Welcome Center Trailhead Pavilion on South Main Street: Festive kickoff features guest speakers, community recognition and special announcements.
• 3 p.m. Ribbon cutting, Trailhead Pavilion.
• 3:30 p.m.: Trail opens.

Refreshments, information, merchandise, activities and tastings will be held at these locations:

• Welcome Center Trailhead: Friends of Ecusta Trail, iDaph Events, Conserving Carolina, Bike Walk HVL, Blue Ridge Bicycle Club, Century 21, Sustainability Environmental Group, Chick-Fil-A, Advent Health.
• Kanuga Road: Dry Falls Brewing Co.
• Third Avenue West: Blue Ridge Humane Society
• South Whitted Street: Trailside Brewing – Live music 1-8 p.m.; Venture Ecusta bike rentals, Ecusta Market & Café, Lennox Station, Mast General Store, Blue Ridge Artisan Market, Grateful Mindset Properties.
• Fifth Avenue West: Southern Streams Coffee House, Pies by Di, Strong Hand Fitness, First Congregational Church, Catalyst Sports
• Daniel Drive: Crate Wine Market & Project, First Bank, YAM Yoga, Hendersonville Racquet Club
• Elijah Gem Mine: Elijah Gem Mine, Guidon Brewing
