Teresa Nicholson was honored as Pardee's 2024 Teammate of the Year
Nicholson, who has been with Pardee for more than 24 years, began her career as a new graduate in 2001 in the Medical Surgical Oncology unit, where she worked for five years. She transitioned to the Intensive Care Unit and treated patients for 14 years before moving to her current position as house supervisor. In that role, she manages patient bed flow and staffing decisions, provides patient care and serves as a resource to nurses and providers to ensure the hospital functions properly.
“I am honored to be named Teammate of the Year,” she said. “Pardee has been my home for more than two decades, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to care for our patients and support our incredible clinical team. Every day, I’m inspired by my colleagues’ dedication and compassion. Together, we work to make sure every patient and family feels supported and cared for during their time with us.”
“Teresa goes above and beyond to demonstrate a level of compassion and empathy, and her talents shine brightly when she advocates not only for patients but families as well,” Chief Nursing Officer Marilee Arnold said. “Teresa’s special gift is to balance the continuous operational needs of the organization with the sometimes-overlooked human needs. Not only does she put patients first, but she also recognizes that they and their families are more than their diagnosis and plan of care. She makes us all better.”
